Steam heated vaporizers are used in petrochemical and cryogenic plants to vaporize liquefied gases such as:

Oxygen

Nitrogen

Argon

Ethylene

Propylene

Natural Gas

In a load range from approx. 500 Nm³/h up to 195 000 Nm³/h.

Characteristics

Linde´s steam heated water bath vaporizer is a robust and reliable solution with a large range capacity. The unit consists of a round water vessel with an overflow nozzle in which a coiled tube bundle is submerged.

The characteristics of Linde Steam Heated Water Bath Vaporizers are:

The water is heated up by direct steam injection
through one or more steam lances, in such a way that
steam hammering is avoided

The steam flow is controlled by water temperature controllers

During stand-by conditions, the water temperature is kept through a small steam lance at 60 °C

The water circulation is achieved by means of
buoyancy and gravitiy, so that availability from 0 to
full capacity can be reached within two minutes

In case an immediate availability within 10 seconds is required, additional water circulating pumps can be installed.
