The calculation methods for the sizing of columns derive from extensive know-how gained by inhouse experiments, tests and long-time operational experience.

A data processing system, continually adapted to Linde specific requirements, is used to reach optimized design data.

Wall thicknesses up to 60 mm or more are not uncommon. Specially developed welding technology including sophisticated devices are used to achieve an optimal quality and to reduce expensive re-work to a minimum.

Diameters up to approximately 7 m, lengths of up to 45 m and up to 170 tons can be manufactured in one unit.

Components exceeding these dimensions are welded at Linde workshops near harbour respectively on site.
